So last month saw that time of year again, New York Bridal Fashion Week! Where dozens of wedding dress designers flock to showcase their latest bridal collections, from catwalks to private viewings, anyone who is anyone in the wedding dress worlds wants to be there.
Today I'm rounding up some of my favourite wedding dresses from the shows and predicting which trends will be big for brides in 2017/2018.
The Bridal Cape
Who needs a veil when you can wear a cape instead? Making their first appearance on the catwalks last year, the bridal cape shows no sign of disappearing. Here are some fabulous examples by designers Oscar De La Renta, Berta and Atelier Pronovias.
One of my favourite styles but one so rarely seen in wedding dresses, however the halter neck is gaining headway this season, with numerous designers making it their own.

Off the Shoulder
Romantic and elegant, off the shoulder dresses are always a firm favourite of mine and this season is no exception. My favourites include Berta, Marchesa and Romona Keveza, and of course Vera Wang never disappoints with a very striking number!
Straying ever further away from the swathes of strapless dresses, designers are shining light on the full length sleeve this season, but sheer of course!
Dress by Hayley Paige, Monique Lhuiller and Yolan Cris
Form fitting dresses are making waves this season, with designers Pronovias and Naeem Khan showcasing slim lines and unstructured styles. Dare to bare all your curves in these sleek numbers!
From layered organza skirts, to delicate lace and frills, texture is what it was all about at the catwalk shows this season. Whatever your textural preference, there is sure to be something there for you!
