2018 Wedding Dress Collections
Its new collection season in the wedding world. A time when wedding dress shops and boutiques start to get in the latest collections of the their chosen wedding dress designers. From sheer lace fishtails to beaded ball gowns, there are 101 options out there for an excited bride to try on! Today I have put together the first half of some of my favourite pieces from all the new collections, and show what I think will be big trends in the next year.
Lee Petra Grebenau
LPG is a fairly new label to the UK. Stocked at the lovely Morgan Davies Bridal in Islington, their collection features delicate and feminine outlines, with sequin sparkle and indulgent lace. My favourite pieces from their collection feature beautiful sleeve details. Although a lot of brides like a strapless option, its not for everyone, and I love that there is a wider choice of sleeve options becoming more available.
A well known, luxury label, Berta creates dream silhouettes with lots of lace! Plunge necklines, fitted fishtails and sparkle are a statement of Berta collections, but I was pleased to see some ball gowns and off-the-shoulder details featured this year.
Ornate and indulgent, the latest Galia Lahav collection features lots of detailed combinations, lace and embroidery, dramatic sleeves and long trains, it's definitely a collection for the bride that wants to make an entrance!
Eliza Jane Howell
Always standing apart from other designers, the Eliza Jane Howell collections are statement and unique. This year see's a collection that fits perfectly with the collection's name "Leading Lady". I also love that brides have the option to opt for a coloured gown, every dress in the collection is available in alternatives to the classic ivory.
Zuhair Murad is a designer I have worked a lot with through The Wedding Club. The collection features a lot of dramatic ball gowns and slinky sheer numbers. Ornate embroidery is their signature style, and combined with a bit of sparkle they prove they are the masters of luxury bridal style.
